The Problem

Commercial Furniture Solutions (CFS) is a large office furniture wholesaler, who approached Middle Men for a complete brand overhaul and digital solution.

Their previous brand was outdated and their digital solution was cumbersome. When a new product needed to be updated or added, it required revisions on a few different mediums–brochures, website and product database.

CFS wanted a new logo that would work well on packaging, print and digital. Their current brand had a limited colour palette which made it difficult to distinguish between a product range.

Our Solution

The solution involved a complete brand overhaul which would then require to adaptation for print and digital communications. We developed a new logo and colour palette which could would represent the brand well on and offline.

The digital solution needed to cater for both registered and non-registered users. Registered (Retailers) users enjoyed the freedom of seeing products with and without pricing which allows them to send email estimation for a variety of product criteria.

The website automatically generates print ready PDF product brochures. To alter the information on the PDF all the admin would need to do is edit the product within the admin panel. Once the product information had been saved it would then automatically update the product brochure.

Website Development • Ecommerce
The Problem

We were approached with a unique business concept called Gouniq.com. What the client wanted was a digital solutiuon that connected individual stores into a global shopping marketplace, while maintaining each store’s brand, marketing strategy and unique look.

Each store needed to be linked to the same checkout allowing buyers to browse, subscribe and purchase from multiple stores in one location (and one transaction).

We were required to bring the concept to life, our objective: create a brand, design the collateral, design the website (UX design) and develop the website.

The Solution

The solution was far from simple. To transact multiple store purchases through 1 checkout required in-depth research of all the possible payment solutions available. Other research included: design interfaces, WYSIWIG, payment management tools and customer usability through focus groups.

The outcome: http://www.gouniq.com. It is changing the way store owners look at setting up a digital presence while at the same time giving customers unlimited potential choice. Since its launch they have grown to over 80 stores and growing daily.

bioCSL™ – Vaccine Brand

bioCSL™ – Vaccine Brand

Brochure • Web & Mobile Development
The Problem

One of bioCSL™’s vaccine brands required a modern identity that would work across all major communication mediums. The previous brand had not been updated in a few years so a complete refresh was needed.

The brand had a limited digital presence, the marketing collateral was out of date and the packaging also needed a refresh.

This project would require a new brand identity, printed marketing collateral, packaging, website and mobile development.

Our Solution

It entailed bringing all our teams together: creative, print and development to nut out a look that would work for all communication mediums. After much deliberation we came up with an identity that was professional, clean and clinical, yet modern.

We worked closely with the Brand Team at bioCSL™ in order to understand all the requirements from a medical and user point of view. Once we understood the requirements we presented a few brief looks to see if we were on the right track. We further defined the concept and applied it to the other mediums.

The website had to service both industry experts and regular users. To do this we created a credential only area that industry users could access (due to the nature of the content). The website is fully responsive and works on desktop, mobile and tablet.

International Social Service Australia

International Social Service Australia

Print • Annual Report • Collateral
The Problem

International Social Service Australia (ISSA) has been a client of Middle Men’s for a number of years. In that time they have gone through a major brand shift that continues to evolve.

ISSA required a new look for their annual report that had to clearly state figures, charts and imagery. They wanted a solution that would idenitfy their key figures and initiatives.

Our Solution

The ISSA Annual Report contained a lot of information that was quite text heavy. We needed to provide a solution that not only made the report look visually pleasing but also engaging to the reader.

We played around with various image treatments as well as typography to make sure information was displayed in an interesting way. No pages would look the same so that readers had no option but to scan the page each time the page was turned.

The colour selection was fresh, fun and bright. A great deal of time went in to sourcing high quality images also. We felt that imagery was key to keeping the document interesting which is why we spent extra time finding the perfect images.
